Penelope Cruz has been awarded one of the most prestigious parts in the fashion world as she relishes in her role as the face of Campari’s 2013 calendar. But how will her Latin looks fare next to predecessors, Milla Jovovich, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Olga Kurylenko?
As the 14th star to grace the Campari calendar, Penelope takes things up a notch adding her own Spanish style to the shots. The few photos on offer show the 38-year-old actress adopt an array of poses each showcasing a gorgeous gown in Campari’s signature red.

To go against the ultra feminine look, the actress’ hair is worked into various styles including tumbling curls, tight 40s style curls and 60s style beehives.
While the theme and images are a closely guarded secret until the calendar is released in Milan this autumn, the drinks brand has teased us with the announcement of Penelope’s arrival.

Paris-based photographer, Kristian Schuller captured the photographs and a beautiful backdrop was found in the form of an elaborately decorated mansion house.
The venue was adorned with traditional features such as full staircases, stunning chandeliers and hand-crafted furniture that will no doubt play a part in the calendar.
