Kate Middleton has clocked up another famous fan of her fashion, this time it's Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington who admired her Stuart Weitzman shoes
When the Duchess of Cambridge met with the British Olympic swimming team yesterday, it was her shoes that made the most impact with Rebecca Adlington complimenting Kate on her navy wedges.
Kate Middleton joined Prince William and Prince Harry on a surprise trip to meet with Team GB’s swim team to wishing the athletes good luck for the upcoming races during London 2012.
As the trio congratulated Rebecca Adlington on the bronze medal she won for the 400m freestyle, the blonde fashion lover couldn’t help but fall under Kate Middleton’s style spell.
After shaking hands with the Duchess, London Olympics 2012 medal-winner Rebecca said: ‘I just love her shoes. They’re much nicer than the sports gear we’re wearing this week.’
The footwear under such famous scrutiny were cork-heeled wedges by Stuart Weitzman for high street brand Russell & Bromley, £245.
Kate Middleton teamed the wedges with a matching clutch bag but added a designer edge to her look with her wardrobe staple, a Smythe blazer complete with gold buttons.
Her simple dress code of skinny jeans was given an added nautical edge with a stripped top and silk scarf.
Naturally Kate’s flowing locks were worn in their standard style – big and bouncy curls.
Earlier in the day, Ms Middleton watched Zara Philips’ Olympic equestrian efforts which saw Team GB score silver medals.
