Kate Middleton and sister Pippa enjoy night out in London

The pair took the Duchess of Cambridge's dog Lupo along for the charity evening, held at London's Burlington Arcade

Kate Middleton enjoyed a rare evening out with Pippa Middleton last night, joining her sister at a charity fundraiser in London.

And although Prince William was unable to attend the event, the Duchess of Cambridge managed to find a different date for the evening - adorable royal puppy Lupo.

Dressed for the wintry weather, Kate cemented her downtime style credentials, in dark denim jeans, a cosy brown sheepskin jacket and her favourite black suede boots.

Arriving first with her royal protection officer in tow, Kate made her way through swarms of waiting photographers with little Lupo.

Despite being faced with the crowds, the super-cute pup didn't look phased at all, happily trotting along by Duchess Kate's side as they arrived at the event, held in conjunction with Country & Town House magazine.

Pippa followed shortly afterwards, taking a break from her whirlwind book publicity tour for the evening, to cosy up in a chic printed scarf, and blue leather jacket.

Kate and Pippa were in attendance at the Burlington Bazaar, organised by close friend of the royal family, Lady Tollemache, to raise money for the Ormiston Children.

This is the first evening out with Pippa Kate Middleton's been spotted on in quite some time.

According to reports, the Duchess enjoyed date night with Prince William last week, enjoying an evening at the cinema to see Daniel Craig's James Bond Skyfall movie.
