Brit actor Idris Elba took home his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie for his role in BBC crime drama Luther.
Hit TV show Downtown Abbey has been nominated for four Golden Globe – with leading lady Elizabeth McGovern up for Best Actress in a Mini-Series, Hugh Bonneville nominated for Best Actor, Maggie Smith in the Best Supporting Actress category and the show itself tipped for Best Mini-Series. Cast and crew were delighted last night when it was announced that Downton had won the Best Mini-Series gong.
