Eva Mendes embraced her wild side in a racy leopard print dress in New York, but left boyfriend Ryan Gosling at home

Eva Mendes got seriously glam for an appearance on the David Letterman show in New York yesterday, braving windy wet weather.

The actress embraced her wild side in a belted leopard print Dolce & Gabbana dress, suede knee-high boots and Vogue sunnies.

But boyfriend Ryan Gosling was nowhere to be seen.

Earlier this year, it was revealed Eva Mendes is collaborating with US retailer New York & Company to launch her first clothing collection.

The affordable range will feature a mixture of daywear, evening dresses and accessories, and the ad campaign will also be fronted by the actress.

'I love anything that winks to yesteryear,' Mendes told WWD of the designs. 'You have to find what works for you. In this day and age where everybody has a stylist, I appreciate the kind of woman who steps out of the box. I love feeling like an individual. I want to share all these little tips with women.'

'I have a ton of ideas, but it's a bit early to discuss them,' Ryan Gosling's other half added.

'It's taking up all my time, but in the best way possible. Everything I see is a possible design. My mind is consumed by it.'
