Federline's lawyer: Britney isn't fully cured yet
Kevin Federline’s lawyer has warned people not to celebrate Britney Spears’ recovery too prematurely.
Mark Vincent Kaplan says he believes her father, Jamie Spears, is doing a great job of heading her in the right direction, but that she still has some way to go to beat her demons.
‘Jamie is doing a really good job,’ he told People. ‘There was a situation and that seems to be stabilised. Does that mean she’s cured? Of course not.’
Britney has been receiving less negative press and positive reviews of her guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother. In fact, the CBS sitcom hit an all-time ratings high when Spears guest-starred as ‘Abby the Assistant’, and series producers are reportedly looking to see her reprise her role in at least one more episode.
But Kaplan feels it will take time for Britney to get over her emotional problems, although he calls Jamie’s steps to improve Britney’s lifestyle ‘smart’, adding: ‘Obviously before Jamie, it wasn’t a question of what was going to happen – it was a question of when.’
And on his professional interest in the case, he said: ‘I look forward to the time when I can be bored.’
