Britney Spears was once synonymous with blonde highlights but now her reign over lightened locks is over as she debuted brown hair at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation party after the Oscars.

The milk chocolate locks carried softer highlights for a more flattering finish while also complementing her brown eyes.
As she showcased her new look, Britney Spears also paraded some impressive red carpet fashion taking on a floor-length glittering black Michael Cinco Couture gown. Complete with plunging neckline and capped sleeves the dress was the perfect backdrop to the star’s new mane.

While the frock sparkled in front of the flashbulbs, Britney’s newly darkened locks also shone, worn loose with a short fringe parted at the centre it was understated by undeniably beautiful.

For a sharper edge to this look Britney wore heavy and dark shadow and kohl around her eyes but kept things more feminine than fierce with a nude lip and glowing tan.
