Britney Spears fans were angered as they watched Justin Timberlake perform at a pre-Super Bowl gig on Saturday night, his first live show in five years.
The singer said: ‘Sometimes in life you think you found the one. But then one day you find out she is just some b****,' before launching into Cry Me A River.
The track was originally released in 2002 and the music video for the track featured a Britney Spears look-a-like. The breakup anthem was unveiled in the wake of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears’ split, which was surrounded by speculation that she’d cheated.

Following his outburst over the weekend, Justin Timberlake rushed to clear the matter up, telling fans on Twitter: ‘Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. '#Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though *with accent* #Respect.'
Britney is yet to respond to the tweet, instead she is believed to be in the advanced stages of signing a contract for a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
