In case you haven't noticed, it's suddenly gotten a heck of a lot chillier these past couple of days, which means that lovely J.W. Anderson x Uniqlo trench isn't going to cut it much longer. So... time for a new winter coat.

And if you're looking for something that'll stand out a bit in a sea of black, grey and camel coats, then may I suggest leopard print? I know, I know, there's something a bit Patsy about leopard print, but if you wear it right, then it can look quite chic, trust me.

Pointing us in the right direction is Scandi fave H&M, with this rather fab faux fur leopard print jacket.

First off, it ticks a fair few trends. Faux fur for starters, which is SO in, thanks to actual fur being SO out. Burberry, Prada, Calvin Klein and now Gucci have stopped using fur.

Next up, the print. Delicate black, on an ombre background of beige and cream, it's as chic as leopard print gets. And it mirrors the catwalk trends seen at the likes of Moschino and D&G, so you know you'll look bang on trend.

Then you've got the boxy shape, which will look great with cropped jeans and trainers at the weekend, and a pleated skirt and knee high boots combo during the week.

Then obviously, it's dead cheap at under £40, so you can't really go wrong with this one. It's currently still available in all sizes, but it probably won't last long so be quick if you want it.

Mango had a similar style last year and it sold out fairly quickly. Just saying...

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
