Croydon's most famous export, Kate Moss, was spotted by a Storm modelling scout at JFK airport at the age of 14. She appeared in The Face at 15 and has gone on to carve out one of the most successful modelling careers to date.

Known for introducing the 'superwaif' look in the early nineties after a massive modelling campaign for Calvin Klein, Kate has since appeared on over 300 magazine covers and was listed as the 99th richest woman in Britain by the Sunday Times Rich List.

After relationships with Johnny Depp and magazine editor, Jefferson Hack, with whom she had daughter Lila Grace in 2002, Kate's much publicised ex-romance with Babyshambles frontman, Pete Doherty, continuously hit the headlines.

In September 2005 the Mirror exposed Kate taking cocaine and advertisers including Burberry and Chanel failed to renew their contracts with the supermodel. After a stint in rehab, Kate bounced back from the scandal and is today seen as one of the most influential fashion icons of the last century.

Proving her iconic, sought-after style, she collaborated with Katy England and signed up to create a clothing line for Topshop in 2006, which has been phenomenally successful.

Kate is currently dating The Kills frontman Jamie Hince.
