If you’re still in denial that Prince Harry is well and truly off the market, Primark’s swooped in to help you live out your Royal Wedding fantasies. The retailer has just started selling a replica of Meghan Markle’s engagement ring - and it’s only £2.
When Meghan stepped out in that fabulous white engagement coat arm-in-arm with Prince Harry, everybody naturally honed in on the rock (well, rocks) on her finger. It was eventually revealed that her ring was a bespoke piece that Harry had designed, incorporating an ethically-sourced diamond from Botswana where they fell in love and two smaller ones on either side. It was the small diamonds that made everybody’s heart melt though, as they were actually from a brooch in Princess Diana’s personal collection.
He said at the time, ‘The little diamonds on either side are from my mother's jewellery collection to make sure that she's with us on this crazy journey together.’
While that sentimental feeling might be lost on the £2 Primark design, it’s a pretty striking imitation and one that won’t be as devastating to your bank account if you lose it. It’s called the Yellow Ring and even though they haven’t referenced the royals in its title or description, we see you Primark. We see you.

Prince Harry asked Cleave and Company, the same royal jeweller who designed his and Meghan’s wedding rings, to bring his design to life. Gemologist Grant Mobley told The Express that he estimated the ring would have probably cost around £122,500 at the time. (Yeah, we’ll take the Primark one - thanks.)
After Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with Princess Diana’s gorgeous diamond and sapphire ring, sales for similar styles also skyrocketed. Loads of retailers began releasing their own versions of Kate Middleton's engagement ring, ranging from affordable Claire’s Accessories styles through to luxury styles by jeweller Vashi.
