I just bought the perfect holiday dress in the Reformation sale

In case you hadn't heard, the Reformation sale is now on, and it's kind of a big deal. Firstly, because they have the most perfect summer dresses, and most of them are 50% off.

Secondly, because you don't have to travel to New York or LA - although to be honest it's worth it just for the uber cool changing rooms - because they now ship to the UK.

So as soon as the sale email dropped into my inbox, I knew I had to have a browse. I already own a couple of dresses from the brand, so know they are super flattering.

As I've got my fair share of floral dresses, I was on the lookout for something a little more paired back, which I could take with me on my next holiday to the South of France.

That's when I came across this white linen beauty. The straight neckline, the lace trims, the strap ties. I fell hook, line and sinker.

Reformation writes, 'We think linen is kind of a big deal' and I couldn't agree more. It also comes in black, though if it's not up your street, there are plenty more options in the sale.

I, however, will be wearing it next week with a pretty straw hat and espadrilles. Out of office, on.

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
