Jennifer Aniston wows at Women in Film awards while she jokes about her love life
Jennifer Aniston last night proved she’s not just a pretty face – by cracking a funny on-stage about her tumultuous love life.
Not only did the former Friends star totally wow the audience at the Women in Film Crystal & Lucy Awards in a metallic Prada minidress, she also managed to raise a laugh with her dry sense of humour, too.
Accepting the 2009 Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, Jen – who’s currently making The Baster with Jason Bateman – joked that her film roles have paralleled her up-and-down love life.
‘I have a strange parallel with movies I was doing and my life off screen. First, it was The Good Girl…which evolved into Rumour Has It, followed by Derailed. Then there was The Breakup,’ she continued, in an apparent quip about her marriage to Brad Pitt, who left her for Angelina Jolie.
Then came a possible swipe at her younger ex-love John Mayer.
‘If anyone has a movie called Everlasting Love With an Adult Stable Man, that would be great!’ Aniston joked.
‘I’m at table six, and my agents are at table 12.’
Women in Film (WIF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping women in the global entertainment industry and preserving their legacy.
The Crystal & Lucy Awards honours the ‘most creative, prolific and socially responsible individuals in the entertainment industry, those who lead by example.’
Other actresses who picked up awards included Holly Hunter and Elizabeth Banks, who was honoured with the MaxMara Face of the Future gong for reaching a ‘turning point’ in her TV and film career, which last year saw her feature in W, Zack & Miri Make a Porno, Role Models and Meet Dave.
