Robert Pattinson has returned to LA as fresh rumours of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders emerge and are set to eclipse his relationship. After a short trip to New York the British actor landed back in California sporting a somewhat glum expression as he faces the current furor.

On Monday, photos appeared of Kristen Stewart getting into a car with a man who shares a striking resemblance to Rupert Sanders and not just that, he was also driving the same black Acura car that the director has.

The incident, that happened just hours after Robert Pattinson left LA for New York, saw Kristen Stewart get into the car with a group of friends after dinner at Malo Taqueria restaurant in Silver Lake.

The shots pushed the rumour mill into overdrive with reports surfacing that the pair were about to embark on affair number two. Although some sources believe the man in the car is actually a valet and Robert Pattinson has nothing to worry about.

Despite this, the star did not look best pleased on his return to LA, although it’s likely to be down to the fact the paparazzi snapped him leaving his hotel in New York, and at both JFK and LAX airports! Surely he deserves some respite from the paps?
