Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart put on a rare PDA at the star-studded Teen Choice Awards in California over the weekend, cosying up for cameras during a sneaky backstage snap.

The couple attended the awards with Breaking Dawn co-star Taylor Lautner, where the trio bagged the Ultimate Choice gong for their roles in the Twilght saga.

Camera shy Rob and Kristen sneakily skipped the red carpet - and waiting photographers - squeezing into a back entrance as they arrived at the awards.

But that didn't stop the pair posing for pictures backstage during the night.

Rob and Kristen started something of a new trend as they stepped on stage to collect their Ultimate Movie prize - by giving the awards away to the audience.

After receiving his Teen Choice surfboard, Rob asked: 'I don't know if I'm allowed to – can I give this to the audience?' before swiftly handing his award to ecstatic fans.

Generous Kristen soon followed suit, sending the crowds wild.

We bet they have loads at home, anyway…

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have been keeping a low profile of late, but that didn't stop a pair of eagle-eyed snappers spotting them on a secret date in LA last week.

Dressed down in jeans and t-shirts, with R-Patz going incognito in his favourite black baseball cap, Rob and Kristen arrived at swanky LA eatery The Hotel Cafe, for a low-key evening out.
