Rita Ora has confirmed she'll be teaming up with a rather famous face to launch her first ever fashion line…

Rita Ora has confirmed her first fashion collaboration - and it's not what you might think. Despite rumours she was poised to launch a range with 'wifey' Cara Delevingne, the songstress has signed on to be the new face of Madonna's Material Girl line.

Taking to her social networking sites to share the news with fans, the starlet, quite rightly, was excited.

'Joining forces with Madonna and Lola!' she wrote on Instagram. Sharing the news on Twitter, she added: 'It's official Ritabots - I'm the new face of Material Girl!'

According to reports, it was Madonna's daughter Lourdes who floated the idea, with some saying she convinced her famous mum to sign the star.

A source told The Sun: 'Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to many of her gigs. She persuaded her mum to see her.

'They met at the Met Ball in New York last week and Madonna admired Rita's attitude so signed the idea off.'

'Rita jumped at the chance because she's such a fan of the Queen of Pop,' the source continued.

'She also hopes it will help her crack the States in the same way she has the UK.'

Ora has reportedly signed a whopping £500k contract to be the face of the brand. She'll follo in the footsteps of Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen and show host Kelly Osbourne.

We look forward to seeing the first shoot!
