Twilight actress Kristen has confirmed she will start work on the new flick, titled Focus, in April next year

Kristen Stewart has confirmed she is to put her vampire alter-ego firmly behind her to star in a new comedy opposite Ben Affleck.

Although we're a little sad Kristen won't be working with boyfriend Robert Pattinson on her next project, the lucky actress will just have to make do with another one of Hollywood's hottest stars instead.

ROBERT PATTINSON: I BELIEVE IN TRUE LOVE

Rumours of Kristen's involvement in the Ben Affleck project have been circulating over the last month after Deadline reported she was in talks over a part in the movie - but the actress has firmly quiet on talk of her latest role, until now.

Yesterday Kristen finally confirmed her latest project, after signing on the dotted line.

Speaking to Huffington Post, she said: 'I can confirm that rumour [about working with Affleck]. It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it. We start shooting in April.'

It's thought the film, titled Focus, revolves around 'an inexperienced con artist who hooks up with the more seasoned Affleck,' and could involve some 'passionate' love scenes between the pair.

Reports suggest the the Warner Bros. production will be overseen be Crazy, Stupid, Love duo by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this year, Ben Affleck spoke about how much he wanted Kristen Stewart for the role, telling E! Entertainment he hoped she would take up the part, as she's 'terrific'.

We can't wait to see that one!

Meanwhile Kristen Stewart's other half Robert Pattinson has reportedly signed on to star in dramatic new movie Mission: Black List - about the man who tracked down Saddam Hussein, as well as Queen of the Desert, Maps to the Stars and The Rover, all in the pre-production stages.
