Kate Middleton is accustomed to her style choices heavily influencing the nation’s wardrobes, after all pretty much every fashion piece she picks flies off the shelves minutes after she’s seen wearing them. But now it’s not the Duchess of Cambridge’s clothes that are causing a sale stampede, instead it’s what she’s buying for her baby bump.

Along with her mother Carole, Kate Middleton was recently spotted in South Kensington having just purchased a Moses basket at exclusive boutique, Blue Almonds with a reported price tag of £295.
In the wake of this news Asda have reported record figures for their Moses baskets seeing a 57 per cent increase in sales, although the supermarket’s version comes at a more purse-friendly £35.

And that’s not all, Asda also predict a sharp rise in the sales of blue buggies after reports emerged that Kate Middleton had snapped up a light blue Bugaboo pram. Of course speculation is mounting that the Duchess’ choice of colour is a not-so-subtle hint that she’s expecting a boy.
But with a due date now just two months away, we won’t have to wait long to find out!
