David Beckham is busy preparing to launch his brand new London restaurant with his pal Gordon Ramsay, and we've got the very first snaps of the cool venue.
The former footballer has partnered up with the celebrity chef to launch the Union Street Café, which, conveniently for us, is just a short walk from Marie Claire HQ. HURRAH.
The Union Street Café has unveiled its website this week, showing us a sneak peek of what we can expect from the famous pair's partnership.
A description on the website reads: 'Union Street Café offers seasonal Mediterranean inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Part of the Gordon Ramsay Group. We're very excited to announce that Union Street Café will be opening its doors in September!'
The venue was originally expected to open its doors to the public in mid-August, but a picture posted to their Twitter page yesterday shows a restaurant covered in cables and building work, proving that the business partners have had to push back their planned launch date.
The site adds: 'An exciting new restaurant and bar opening September 2013 on the corner of Union Street and Great Suffolk Street in Southwark. Home to a relaxed dining experience, Union Street Café will be an urban warehouse destination offering quality Mediterranean inspired food with a daily changing menu, prepared in an open theatre style kitchen.'
Gordon says: 'It's no secret that Borough Market is one of my favourite places in London. It’s an area where people are really passionate about food and we've invested time in finding the right venue. It is an amazing space and we're really excited about opening. There will be a real focus on the most amazing produce, cooked in a simple Mediterranean style in a relaxed setting.'
While Gordon and David decide on the finishing touches to their new place, their wives Victoria Beckham and Tana Ramsay has been hanging out on Malibu Beach. A less than impressed Victoria posted a picture of the pair to her Twitter page yesterday, sunbathing on what resembled a building site. The poor loves.
We know where we'll be having lunch every day from September. Because David's likely to be working behind the bar, right? No?
