It's only a matter of time before our favourite foursome hit the streets of New York City once more, surely...

Sarah Jessica Parker may have just launched her new series, Divorce, but we were delighted to spot a mini Sex and the City reunion on the red carpet.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) were joined by Mario Cantone, aka Miranda's wedding planner, Anthony Marentino, for a fun-filled SATC moment.

Sarah Jessica Parker recently sparked rumours that Sex and the City could be returning to our screens.

After the second Sex and the City movie hit cinema screens back in 2010, we thought Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda had hung up their Manolo's for good. Especially after Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that there are currently no plans for a third SATC movie, earlier this year.

But oh how times have changed.

Although Sarah and her co-stars, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, have never fully dismissed the possibility of a Sex and the City revival, this latest update from SJP is the strongest indication we've had that one is on the cards.

In an interview with the Press Association, the 51-year-old actress revealed that a return to TV could now be just as likely as a third movie.

'I don't think any of us have said no,' she said. 'I don't know whether it's a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it's been resolved. I think that's always a possibility, definitely.'

SJP and co first hit our TV screens back in 1998 and continued to work together until the show ended in 2004. They later reprised their roles in both 2008 and 2010 for two carry on movies.

With the 20th anniversary of the much beloved TV show fast approaching (less than two years and counting) many of us are wondering if Sarah Jessica Parker will bring Carrie Bradshaw back to life once more and reunite the fab four.

Sarah is currently starring alongside Thomas Haden Church in new TV comedy, Divorce.

Divorce tells the story of Frances, a woman who decides to leave her husband after he discovers she has been having an affair. Comedy ensues as Frances begins the divorce proceedings and a lengthly legal battle with her soon to be ex-spouse.

The show will launch on Sky Atlantic in the UK later this year.
