  • It may not be Sex and the City, but Sarah Jessica Parker will be back on our telly and we cannot wait!

God bless HBO. After blessing us with the gifts that are Game of Thrones, Girls and Sex and the City, the network has started filming on their new TV show, Divorce, a new comedy starring none other than SATC alum Sarah Jessica Parker.

Divorce tells the story of Frances, played by Sarah, a woman who considers divorcing her husband, and ultimately decides to go ahead with it when he discovers her affair. As Frances begins the divorce proceedings, comedy ensues as the couple endure a lengthy legal battle. Sarah will be joined by Sideways star Thomas Haden Church as her husband, while SNL alum, Molly Shannon, will play her supportive best friend.

If (like us) you can’t wait to see SJP in action once more then make sure you watch the trailer below.

Recently, SJP was seen filming her new show in New York, wearing a stylish graphic printed coat and monochrome dress. The actress recently spoke to Yahoo Style about the new series, explaining that she developed the show for a long time with HBO, and that the ‘particular landscape of divorce and the story of a marriage is really interesting to me because it’s so complicated.’

SJP was also seen looking oh-so-chic in a long rose-coloured coat and simple heels while filming in November 2015. The 50-year-old star and executive producer of the new show, is clearly the seasoned pro as she rushed from trailer to set to begin filming.

Since the end of SATC in 2004, Sarah has mostly stayed away from television, instead raising her three children with husband Matthew Broderick and starring in the Sex And The City movies – both of which were box office hits, earning over $300 million each worldwide.

No word yet on whether her SATC co-stars will be making any cameos (maybe Mr. Big can play a new beau?), but the series has already managed to secure distribution in the UK. The much anticipated show will be aired on Sky Atlantic in the new year.
