Before they were famous... how your favourite A-listers celebrated their big nights (big hair included)
Nothing quite beats a 'before they were famous' pic of our favourite A-lister doing something totally normal, in this case celebrating the end of secondary school with an awkward date at their school prom. Celebrity throwback pictures just don't get better than that.
Before red carpets, glam teams and stylists, these famous faces were ordinary school kids, counting down the days until their Big Night with the date of their dreams, who probably still tells everyone they know who they took to prom (I mean wouldn't you if your date was Jennifer Aniston or Brad Pitt?)
We'd rather not remember what we wore to our own prom and we're guessing some of the stars in this gallery might not want to either. Big hair and strapless dresses feature heavily (though a lot of these pictures are from the 80s so that's to be expected) and there are some pretty pouffy bridal ensembles in there too (hello Brad Pitt's prom date).
Taylor Swift seems to have taken inspiration from her fairytale moodboard, wearing a white fitted bodice gown that makes her look a little bit like she's going to her own wedding.
Meanwhile, Tyra Banks looks every inch the supermodel already, with her low-cut halterneck gown and long black gloves.
Sandra Bullock proves there was never a time when she looked anything less than gorgeous, with a beautiful black and white throwback shot in which she's grinning from ear-to-ear with a handsome mystery man.
And that's just the ladies... these prom photos prove George Clooney and Brad Pitt didn't always have the groomed hair they do today. We love Brad's Seventies-style powder blue tuxedo, though can't say we miss those curtains.
We also can't help but wonder what happened to these A-listers' prom dates? Did they go on to boast about their associated brush with stardom? Or did they become famous stars in their own right (we're looking at you, Jack Antonoff).
