Prince Harry is going on tour round the Caribbean (and we can't wait for the pictures)

Nice work if you can get it...

Nice work if you can get it...

Work trip to the Caribbean anyone? Yep, sounds pretty good doesn’t it? Which is why we’re pretty jealous of Prince Harry and his upcoming royal tour of the Caribbean.

Hot on the heels of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's tour of Canada, Harry is now set to jet off on a tour of his own to seven different Caribbean countries between 20th November and 4th December 2016. And we reckon there'll be plenty more classic snaps for the Cambridge's family album...

So far Kensington Palace has confirmed that the prince will be stopping off in Antigua, Barbuda, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Grenada, Barbados and Guyana to represent his Gran (you know, the Queen). During this time, he’ll be visiting local projects which focus on conservation, youth empowerment and sport of social development – causes believed to be important to Harry himself.

This tour comes at an important time for some of the countries which are currently celebrating significant milestones in the history of their independence from Great Britain.

A spokesman from Kensington Palace said: ‘Prince Harry is honoured to be representing The Queen, in the year of her 90th birthday, particularly as Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and Guyana mark their own important anniversaries of independence.’

A considerable chuck on the Prince’s time will be spent in Barbados, where he will visit a number of charities that work to address social issues that affect the region.

Last year Barbados announced a proposal to become a republic and remove the Queen as head of state. Currently Elizabeth II is ‘Queen of Barbados’ as well as the United Kingdom, so plenty of people have been speculating that Harry’s upcoming trip is diplomatically well-timed. Either way, get ready for plenty of jokes about Prince Charming…

Harry has actually toured around the Caribbean before when he carried out royal duties there back in 2012 (tough life, eh?). Last time we got some pretty classic moments from the time Harry met Usain Bolt in Jamaica – like the time they decided to race.

In fact, the two became such good friends that the prince even sent him a cheeky birthday message earlier this year…

We’d love to watch that rematch.
