The lowdown: The new offering from Babyliss, Pro Radiance, would be hard to beat for heat-up time (the Slikit and Corioliss are snapping at its heels), while ceramic-titanium plates deliver frizz-free results. Best bits: Hair stayed straight all day, no frizzy flyaways in sight. And we love the pink bag it comes in that doubles up as a heat mat – no more carpet burns! Bad bits: It's not as slim as some of the other offerings – but that doesn't put us off! Rating: 7/10
