    Simona Halep’s Wimbledon win

Simona Halep made history on Saturday, with the Romanian tennis player beating Serena Williams to win her first Wimbledon title.

‘It was my best match,’ the 27-year-old explained of her 6-2 6-2 triumph, with this win becoming her second Grand Slam title, after winning the French Open in 2018.

And it wasn’t just Simona who was proud of her playing, with Serena Williams accepting defeat gracefully, enthusing about her competitor: ‘She played out of her mind, it was a little bit deer in the headlights for me.’

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s joint Wimbledon appearance

The Duchess of Sussex joined the Duchess of Cambridge and Pippa Middleton in the royal box on Saturday to watch the Women’s Wimbledon final, seeing Simona Halep triumph over Serena Williams.

The three women laughed together, with the photographs going viral, putting rumours of a royal feud to bed, once and for all.

The longest Men’s Wimbledon Final in history

Sunday saw one of the most dramatic Men’s Wimbledon finals seeing Novak Djokovic triumph over Roger Federer.

The longest Men’s Final in Wimbledon history was five sets long and lasted over five hours, with the men offering kind words about each other, before both announcing that it was time to ‘go back to being dad’.

Calling the match the ‘most thrilling final [he’s] ever been a part of”, Novak Djokovic went on to call Roger Federer ‘one of the greatest players of all time’, announcing, ‘I respect [him] a lot’.

‘Unfortunately in a match like this, one of us has to lose’, he said before celebrating his fifth Wimbledon title.

Yes, really. The actor addressed the rumours in a recent interview with Digital Spy, giving us all hope for an Upper East Siders reunion.

‘I don’t know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I’m open to anything,’ he explained. ‘It would have to be really right, and really specific, and with TV and the golden age of the TV streaming service, maybe an eight-episode season.’
