Unusually both women opted for hot pink for the event at Hofstra University in New York, leaving fashion fans on Twitter wondering if they had both decided to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The First Lady, Michelle Obama, opted for a hot pink blazer over a hot pink dress paired with a classic string of pearls, while Mitt Romney's wife, Ann, wore a capped dress in the exact same hue, donning hoop earrings, a turquoise beaded necklace and gold bracelets to complete the look.
