It’s officially the best time of the year to refresh your denim wardrobe...

It’s officially the best time of the year to refresh your denim wardrobe and with new volume-packed shapes, cool customisations and clever styling tricks to try, the classic blues have never looked so exciting. So long, skinnies…

Customise Me Blame Vetements and their sell-out re-worked jean styles for the fash pack’s new interest in customisation. Denim was once the ‘every man’s’ fabric, a uniform, if you will. But now it’s all about being an individual, making statements with your blues via patchworks, trims and DIY-look cropping. Pass us the scissors…

Turn It Up How much turn-up is too much turn-up? The answer for SS16 is that there’s no such thing, as street stylers took their jean rolls to literal new lengths.

The Elongated Denim Jacket The denim jacket is no longer a one size fits all wardrobe solution. For SS16, designers give us the denim trench, the denim car coat and, our personal favourite, the denim duster, to play into our spring looks.

The Maxi Skirt It’s all oh so 90s, isn’t it? Yes, following on from last summer’s obsession with the button front denim midi skirt, SS16 is giving us the glam grunge maxi skirt.

Skater Jeans Big flare, do care for the new spring season, as Chanel, Chloe and more of the hautest fashion houses did denim the nostalgic way. Accessorise with bad stripy highlights, a low-slung belt and a healthy amount of teen angst, of course.
