Victoria and David Beckham are named among Britain's biggest influencers. How's this for a star-studded line-up...

Victoria Beckham has been named as one of the most influential designers in British fashion, alongside Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton and Burberry's Christopher Bailey.

In a new list published by manners and etiquette expert, Debrett's, Victoria Beckham is among the 500 most influential people in Britain right now, with shortlists spanning everything from fashion, music, film, sport and charity.

The specialist title asked experts across more than 25 fields to name the individuals who are having the most impact across Britain today. And surprise, surprise, Victoria and David were top of the pack.

Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne were also prime and present amongst the list of fashion influencers, joined by make-up artist Pat McGrath, hairstylist to the stars Sam McKnight and Jimmy Choo co-founder, Tamara Mellon.

Naturally David Beckham was a go-to for the title of most influential sports personality, while his H&M ad director Guy Ritchie also made the cut in the films category.

Team GB's Tom Daley, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mo Farah, Andy Murrary, David Weir, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Eleanor Simmonds were also riding high after their London Olympics success.

Surprisingly Kate Middleton was absent from all lists, while The Prince of Wales and The Princess Royal were named among the most influential names in charity.

As for Victoria and David Beckham, the uber-influential duo have yet more cause to celebrate (and feel a little smug).
