Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart cosy up in Cannes

Robert Pattinson wasn't far behind when Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet with her cast mates...

Robert Pattinson played the doting boyfriend at Cannes last night, when he stepped out to support Kristen Stewart at the premiere of new movie On the Road.

Just how cute?

Although he isn't officially due in Cannes to start promotion on his David Cronenberg flick Cosmopolis until tomorrow, Robert Pattinson arrived early to watch Kristen's big moment in the spotlight.

Kristen hit the famous Cannes red carpet with co-stars Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Garret Hedlund and Rob's BFF Tom Sturridge at the official premiere of latest movie, an adaptation of Jack Kerouac's On the Road.

Pulling out all the style stops, the brunette beauty was dressed head to toe in Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière, wowing in the intricately embroidered gown, which came complete with plunging neckline and daring thigh high split.

And while Kristen posed with her cast mates, Robert Pattinson wasn't far behind.

Trying his hardest not to attract attention (which, let's face it, is pretty impossible when you're Robert Pattinson) the sheepish actor hotfooted it down the red carpet, staring adoringly at Kristen as she posed for photos.

In fact the pair could hardly keep their eyes off each other, as Kristen threw glances and smiles at Rob at every available opportunity.

Rumour has it the couple have planned in some rare time together at the film festival, renting a luxurious hillside pad just outside the glittering French Town.

Ahh.
