Who will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choose as godparents for the royal baby?

Oooh...

Oooh...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have dominated headlines since announcing that they're expecting their first child in the Spring. The couple are currently on a 16-day tour, and have travelled around Australia, Fiji, and Tonga.

And while they've been very busy - Meghan has already made waves with a powerful speech about the importance of girls' education - the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also made time to share information about their new arrival.

We already know that Harry is hoping for a girl, and that this is how Meghan is dealing with her pregnancy symptoms.

But when the little royal arrives early next year, everyone will be eager to know... who will they choose as godparents?

Their wedding in May proved just how many celebrity pals they have - so will Harry and Meghan be choosing their A-lister friends, or will the important roles go to family?

Many are speculating that Meghan will choose her friends Jessica and Ben Mulroney. Her BFF's children, Brian and John, were part of Meghan and Harry's big day, and Jessica flew to Australia to be with Meghan immediately after the news of the royal baby broke. She may have even known about it before the Queen.

However, others are guessing that George and Amal Clooney could be selected as godparents. Not only are they good friends, but they've already helped Meghan and Harry with their baby.

According to reports, the Sussex's have hired nanny Connie Simpson on their recommendation, and she has perviously worked with celebrity parents from Emily Blunt and John Krasinski to Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel (as well as the Clooneys, of course).

But that's not all. Harry and Meghan stayed with George and Amal at their Italian holiday home earlier this year. Before the public knew that they were expecting, they reportedly asked if George and Amal would like to be the royal baby's godparents.

Other famous faces in the running for the job are Misha Nonoo, the designer who is rumoured to have set Meghan and Harry up on their first date, and Priyanka Chopra, one of Meghan's best friends.

Zoe and Jake Warren, two of Harry's closest friends, could also be chosen, as could Lara and Tom Inskip, whose wedding Meghan and Harry attended before they went public with their relationship.

So who will it be?

Guess we'll have to wait until next year to find out...
