Lena Dunham has been teasing fans with backstage photos from the third series of Girls

Lena Dunham teases fans as she posts photos from the third series of Girls on her Instagram account.

The 27-year-old uploaded photos showing her filming scenes of the third season in the ocean with two men, further intriguing fans by captioning it: 'biiig spoiler'.

Girls creator Lena has also discussed the sudden departure of Christopher Abbott, telling the Los Angeles Times last week: 'I've had so many concerned Twitter followers ask: What are you going to do without Charlie? I want to say, 'If the show Girls relied on guys, we'd be up a creek without a paddle.'

Clearly unperturbed, she added to the newspaper: 'Don't worry, I've tried to come up with an emotionally honest version of the end of that relationship.'

Christopher, who plays Marnie's boyfriend Charlie in the hit TV show, quit his star-making role after apparently clashing with Lena.

'They’ve just started work on Season 3, and Chris is at odds with Lena,' a source told New York Post's Page Six.

Adding: 'He didn’t like the direction things are going in, which seems a bit odd since the show put him on the map.'
