Kristen has reportedly bought a new pad just 1.5 miles from boyfriend Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart has purchased a lavish $2.2m property just 1.5 miles from Robert Pattinson's home, according to reports.

Earlier this week Kristen and Robert were spotted out together for the first time since the cheating scandal broke, and now the rumours of a reconciliation have mounted over revelations the actress has bought a new pad to be near her Twilight co-star.

It seems that Kristen is one step closer to making amends with Rob after apparently purchasing a home in Los Angeles' trendy Los Feliz neighbourhood in August.

The property boasts four large bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a pool and a spa, but most importantly it's just 1.5 miles from the home of Robert Pattinson.

While Kristen may be keen for the pair to get closer, the film company Summit Entertainment will be taking no risks and will be keeping Kristen and Rob as separate as possible during the upcoming Twilight promotional tour for the final film.

A source told RadarOnline: 'Despite getting back together, Rob and Kristen will have separate hotel rooms booked for them on the upcoming promotional tour for Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

'Summit Entertainment isn't taking any chances that the couple will have problems again and be forced to scramble at the last minute to book one of them a posh hotel suite.

'In fact, in several cities, rooms have been booked for Kristen at a separate hotel from the rest of the A-list cast. Rob and Kristen are always professional, but the fact is she cheated on him, and this media tour needs to go off without a hitch.'
