Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, went for full-on glamour at the Portrait Gala
We can always count on Kate Middleton to deliver effortless red-carpet style - and last night was no different.
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the The National Portrait Gallery for her first public appearance of the year dressed in an ink-blue Jenny Packham gown with a black velvet belt. She complemented the off-the-shoulder, silk tulle number with a neck full of dazzling jewels and wore her hair in loose, flowing curls.
While her look for the Portrait Gala was certainly lovely, it wasn't exactly new. Ever a fan of recycled fashion, Duchess Kate actually decided to repeat an old dress. She wore the same Jenny Packham gown to the 100 Women in Hedge Funds event that took place the day after Prince George's christening, last year.
Kate Middleton did accessorise the gown a bit differently this time around, adding the Nizam of Hyderabad diamond necklace, on loan from the Queen.
We can totally understand that with a new baby in tow, Kate may not have as much free time for trying on gowns and planning new ensembles. So if she's found a look that works, why not stick with it?
