Kate Middleton expressed she’d prefer a son as she handed out shamrocks on St Patrick’s Day
Kate Middleton certainly knows how to tease the public as she stopped speculation that she’s expecting a baby girl on Sunday. While the Duchess of Cambridge handed out shamrocks to the 1st Battalion Irish Guards on St Patrick’s Day she expressed her wishes for a son to soldiers.
As she met with members of the military, Kate Middleton clad in a green Emilia Wickstead coat, spoke openly about her upcoming role as a mother and was happy to chat about her baby’s gender.
Guardsmen Lee Wheeler told The Mirror: ‘I asked her “Do you know if it’s a girl or a boy yet?” and she said “Not Yet.” She said “I’d like to have a boy and William would like a girl.”’
What a way to keep us guessing!
On a recent visit to Grimsby Kate appeared to let slip that she was expecting a daughter, and last week rumours circulated that she’d chosen the name Elizabeth Diana Carole, but both were swiftly quashed on Sunday.
The royal revealed to one soldier she hadn’t yet chosen a name, however she refused to rule out more traditional names when asked.
While her baby bump grows and the interest around its gender mounts Kate Middleton appears more than ready for motherhood.
Sergeant Thomas Lave who met the Duchess yesterday revealed he warned her she has many sleepless nights ahead but ever the pro, Kate said it was something she’s prepared for.
We wouldn’t expect anything less!
