Emma Stone was all smiles as she hit the set of the hotly anticipated Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie in New York yesterday, arriving to film scenes in a matchy-matchy purple pleated skirt, printed blouse and patterned tights.

The starlet was surrounded by crew as she shrugged off a cosy black coat to film scenes for the second action movie, on location in Brooklyn.

Emma was also joined by Oscar-nominated Descendants actress Shailene Woodley, who will take up the part of Mary-Jane in the flick.

Speaking to Movieweb.com earlier this year, Emma gave away few details about the film - only that she and boyfriend Andrew Garfield would star.

'I'm in it, Andrew is in it,' she said. 'They just cast Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn who is such a great actor. And Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane, who's also wonderful.

She continued: 'So there's all that and the script is very, very good. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Earlier this month, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were both spotted filming the new flick on the streets of New York by night.

The private pair are often snapped out and about together, but go to great lengths to keep their relationship private.
