Three new stills from the long-awaited movie have debuted online
The hotly anticipated Hollywood remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo may not hit screens until December, but we’ve already seen the trailer, and a handful of snaps of Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig.
Now film bosses have treated fans to yet another early sneak peek inside the movie, releasing the very first stills from the film.
The brand new snaps show Rooney and Daniel hard at work in their guises as Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist, while holed up in Blomkvist’s temporary home in Hedestad.
Execs also released a chilling new snap of Rooney looking extra fierce as the tough female heroine.
The Hollywood newcomer recently spoke of landing the much sought-after role, despite actresses Carey Mulligan, Emma Watson and even Kristen Stewart reportedly reading for the part.
Speaking of how director David Fincher took two months to decide, she told Access Hollywood: ‘At that point I was just super frustrated. I was like, “You have to decide. Either you think I’m the girl or you don’t. There’s not much more I can do to prove it to you.”‘
But finally Miss Mara awarded the role.
‘David sat me down and gave me this long speech about the part,’ she said. ‘Then he handed me his iPad, and it had the press release on it. He said, ‘I’m prepared to send this out. You have half an hour to let me know if you want the part.”‘
