The Fifty Shades of Grey movie cast has been one of the hottest topics in Hollywood, with talk turning to who will bag the biggest roles. Now the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as E.L. James suggests Ian Somerhalder is the man for the job.

For now though, any confirmation of the casting is cryptic but it’s enough to get us all very excited! The latest speculation started after Twitter user, @BookTemptations posted a photo of the Vampire Diaries star clad in a mask next to a quote from Fifty Shades Darker.
The hit trilogy’s author, E.L. James responded to the tweet with a wide-grinned happy face – and in our world that’s proof enough that she’s keen to see Ian take on the role of Christian Grey.
And who can dispute her choice? Ian has pretty much all the makings of the perfect romantic lead…
The official Fifty Shades of Grey movie cast is yet to be announced and everyone from Ryan Gosling to Alexander Skarsgard have been linked to the role.

Recently though, James Franco revealed he’d be up for taking on the part, and Eddie Redmayne told Marie Claire he’d certainly consider it.
So we’re still not much clearer on who will take the role then, but we are sure of one thing – we can’t wait for the movie!
