Michelle Obama hires Beyoncé and Adele to sing at her star-studded birthday bash
Michelle Obama has invited Beyoncé and Adele to sing at her star-studded 50th birthday party at the White House next year, according to reports.
In what is looking up to be the party of the year, Beyoncé and Adele will apparently be performing numerous of their hit songs for a very star-studded audience.
‘America’s First Lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyoncé, she has asked them both to sing,’ a source tells the Mail On Sunday.
Adding: ‘Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the First Lady and her friends.’
Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z have long been supporters of the Obamas, with the singer writing a birthday card for the First Lady’s 49th celebration this year, saying: ‘Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that [you] do for us. I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.’
Michelle Obama will turn 50 on January 17, 2014.
