The actress joined co-stars Steve Coogan and Tamsin Egerton for the screening of their new film
Anna Friel joined co-stars Steve Coogan and Tamsin Egerton on the red carpet last night for the London premiere of their new film, The Look Of Love.
The Rochdale-born actress added some colour to proceedings at the Curzon Soho cinema screening, wearing a sunshine yellow dress with a white top section and gold sparkly T-bar heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.
Tamsin, meanwhile, opted for a long-sleeved white gown that was cinched in at the waist with a contrasting black belt, while Steve looked smart in a floral print shirt, a black double-breasted jacket and trousers.
Directed by Michael Winterbottom, the film biopic is set in London in the late ’50s/early ’60s and tells the story of Soho porn baron and strip club owner Paul Raymond – once Britain’s richest man and played by Steve in the movie. Anna plays his wife Jean Raymond, Tamsin portrays glamour model Fiona Richmond and rising star Imogen Poots takes on the role of his daughter and heir to his empire, Debbie.
Steve said of the film: ‘It’s a very British story about an eccentric character at the centre of pivotal events in British culture. I love the film. It has that strange combination of comedy and tragedy that Michael Winterbottom manages to pull off with a real deftness of touch.’
The Look Of Love hits UK cinemas from Friday 26th April.
