With December 25th just around the corner (kind of), it's likely that some of you are waiting to find a puppy sitting underneath your tree on Christmas morning.
But how do you go about picking the right name for your fur baby? Do you take inspiration from the most popular baby names of the next ten years? Do you opt for something cute, unusual or traditional? And do you stock up on Christmas pet gifts just incase?
It turns out that this year, a lot of people chose some very human names when selecting their dog's moniker. Alfie, Charlie, Max and Milo all came out on top according to Rover.com
And according to the predictions for the most popular dogs names in 2020, some of those names are cropping up once more. However, there are some new additions to the list that are so adorable that we are convinced that we actually need ten pet pooches now.
Dog chew brand Tastybone has revealed which names you can expect to hear a lot more of next year. Loki, Simba and Maggie (the cuteness!) have all made the list, as have Bella, Lady and Harley.
So if you're planning on getting a furry friend (ahem, hint hint other half), then take a look at some of these names for some dogspiration.
