We’ve rounded up the best of Sainsbury’s new homeware collections to suit all tastes, styles and needs

Whether you’ve just moved into a new flat or simply want to liven your interior, Sainsbury’s is one of the best stores to find stylish homeware (especially if you’re shopping on a budget). An in-house team of designers and buyers work behind the scenes to ensure the latest trends are reflected in every collection – and it sure shows.

Take the new-in Butterfly House collection featuring tableware, textiles, home accessories and stationery in a heady mix of opulent colours of gold, deep purples and blues. Inspired by the incredible floral fashions seen on the SS17 catwalks, everyday homeware essentials are adorned with bold blooms and luxe gold trims. Investing in a few key pieces from the range will add just the right amount of glamour and feminine edge to any space. Don’t stop there, mix and match with other Sainsbury's homewares like the Scandi-style Ethereal collection or some fragrant scented candles.

We caught up with Sainsbury’s print designer, Davinder Madaher, to see what an average day at work involves for him. ‘We have creative planning meetings to discuss the latest collections and decide which prints and colours will go with which trends. I love designs incorporating florals or animal prints, so the Butterfly House range was one of my favourite collections to work on,’ he explains.

Along with revealing the key inspirations behind this season’s new trends, he gave us some tips on how to work them at home. ‘The digital printed bedlinen is gorgeous from this range; it brings glamour into the room, especially when it’s incorporated with the luxurious textures of the velvet cushions and throws. A room can be beautifully accessorised with the Butterfly House candles or a cut glass lamp which is an excellent conversational piece for any room.

Whether you’re looking for new bed linen and cushions to transform your bedroom or want to update your kitchen with gorgeous statement plates and shiny new tableware, Sainsbury’s is constantly bringing out new collections – the hardest decision will be which one you go for.

Feeling inspired to shop? Course you are. Here are our top picks from the latest SS17 collections but we have a sneaky feeling they won’t be there for long!
