Reese Witherspoon kept 77 pairs of shoes from Legally Blonde

It looks like returning for Legally Blonde 3 won't be too big a deal for Reese Witherspoon, since all she needs to do is dust off her wardrobe and she's ready to go.

The actress revealed on Graham Norton's talk show on Friday that she kept all of her Elle Woods clothes, including a quite impressive 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes - including those iconic vinyl wedges.

Reese, who is now starring with Jennifer Aniston on Morning Show, cleverly asked to keep the wardrobe as part of her contract.

'I kept the whole wardrobe including 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes. I had it written in my contract! I didn’t touch them until the 15th anniversary and then had a lot of fun trying them on with my daughter. Some fit and some didn’t, but it was really cool,' she said.

I think we can all agree Reese's daughter Ava is one lucky thing. The actress also explained it was better to keep them, otherwise they would've gone to waste, 'they are just going to put them in a warehouse and then nobody knows where it all went,' she said.

Dame Julie Andrews was also part of the celebrity panel, and confessed she too kept something from her Mary Poppins wardrobe, 'I kept the pretty pink buttoned up shoes that Mary wore when she walked out with Burt. They are now door stops filled with sand.'

Two women after my own heart.

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
