Get your pink suits out, Legally Blonde 3 could be coming to a cinema near you...
Hillary Clinton may be running for President of the United States but she might have some (entirely fictional) competition in the form of one Elle Woods, because Reese Witherspoon has given us the biggest hint yet that a third instalment of the Legally Blonde movies could soon be in the pipeline...
While on US chat show, Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe, Reese answered a couple of fan questions which naturally brought up the subject of our favourite Harvard graduate with a fan asking what Elle Woods would be doing in 2015:
'I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to,' Reese explained, 'A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it.'
Witherspoon continued: 'We’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her [Elle Woods] be a Supreme Court judge or someone who runs for office.'
Erm, yes please.
With Legally Blonde 2 hinting at Elle's presidential aspirations in 2003 (she practically winked at the White House, if you remember?), a Legally Blonde 3 with the much-loved character potentially running for President in 2020 couldn't have come at a more pertinent time in US politics.

However, despite the squeals of excitement from Legally Blonde fans everywhere, Reese admitted that although there are no plans for a sequel, fans should contact MGM - the film's studio - to make their wishes for a third instalment heard.
Seems simple enough...
