Did you spot it?

Ryan Reynolds is one half of Hollywood’s golden couple, with the 40-year-old actor giving us husband goals on a regular basis.

From the time he broke the Cannes Film Festival rules so that he could walk the red carpet with his wife to the time he announced that the most interesting thing about him was her, there are simply too many cute Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively moments to recount.

The latest Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively moment to give us serious couple envy, however, came on Monday as the pair attended the Met Gala 2017 in New York City, melting out hearts from the minute they stepped onto the red carpet.

Being the dutiful husband, Ryan had gone to great lengths to co-ordinate with his wife’s couture outfit, complimenting the blue feathered train of Blake’s floor length Atelier Versace gown, with a blue silk bow tie.

This isn’t the first time that Ryan has based his bow tie selection on his wife’s fashion choices, with the actor opting for a black velvet bow tie to match Blake’s couture gown at the Golden Globes 2017, and donning a white silk dickie bow to match her dress at the 2016 Canada State Dinner.

Speaking to Humans of New York, later on at the Met Gala, Ryan couldn’t help but sing the praises of his wife. ‘She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She'll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she's made me a more empathetic person,’ he explained. ‘I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn't want to remember. She made me remember the good times.’
