Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are a golden couple. Not just because they are literally golden with their hair, tans and general radiating glows, but also because they’re just so damned cute.
We’d be jealous, but that would ruin the utter joy we experience any time we see them interact or speak about one another.
In celebration of how adorable they are, here are their most romantic moments.

At Ryan's inauguration into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in LA in December 2016, he and wife Blake brought their two young daughters to the event - which also marked the tots' public debut - with daughter James taking hold of the mic at one point and Blake carrying the couple's three month old. Gah! The cuteness!
Their first date… that wasn’t with each other
These two are living proof that the best relationships start as friendships.
‘We were buddies then. I remember it was funny because for about a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and all that stuff we were both single,’ Ryan said.
‘We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl. That was the most awkward date from their respective probably because we were just like fireworks coming across. It was weird at first but we were buddies for a long time. I think it's the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends.’

When he tried to make her laugh during labour
Like all good men, Ryan knows that the most appropriate time for sexy songs is when she’s pushing a human out of her vagina.
‘I jammed a little Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On. It was like steak knives came out of her eyes. Like, "Are you f**king sh*tting me right now?" Real bad, yeah. But she was a mercenary. I think I just caught her right in the middle of a contraction.’
He then added: ‘She was making jokes the entire time.’
He also got totally real about being a dad…
‘Do the dirty work, man. You gotta do the diapers. You gotta do the middle of the night thing. A human being will exit your wife, so she's done enough. Just change the diapers.’
When Ryan Broke The Rules For Blake Part 1
'I've been there [Cannes] with my husband two years ago, which was so special', said Blake.
'He actually broke a Cannes rule, and snuck away from the rest of his cast and came back and picked me up so we got to walk the red carpet together. She added: 'To be there at Cannes with him, thinking: "Wow he has a film at the Cannes Film Festival - what a big deal" was so special.'

When Ryan Broke The Rules For Blake Part 2
This time it involves boarder control and a potential $10,000 fine.
'My wife is a foodie and loves these apple pies they make in Vancouver where I grew up. So we grabbed a bunch of them and we were heading back down to the States and across the border.
'The guard knew something was going on as I've the worst poker face ever and he had me on a hook. He said, "You remember you did that movie Just Friends and at the end you sang I Swear?" I said, "Yes," and he said, "Go ahead."
He continued: 'He was saying dance monkey and I danced! I sang that thing in the best falsetto I had and I was on my way through the border eating pie by the next stop.'
Even Blake’s burnt wedding dress is romantic…
‘I get really frustrated when something goes wrong,’ Blake says. ‘For example, my wedding dress. Florence Welch was singing at the reception, and they brought out these sparklers, and I'm watching her sing. I look down and my wedding dress has a big burn mark from one of the sparklers. Right on the front! And it was just so heartbreaking to me.
‘And later, my dress was hanging up and Ryan said, “Isn't that beautiful?” I said, “What?” And he pointed to the burn. My heart just stopped, because it was such a sensitive little subject. And he said, “You'll always remember that moment with Florence singing and the sparklers. You have that forever, right there, preserved.” Now that's my favourite part of the dress.’
Just don’t go thinking Ryan won’t use her as a human shield if he really needs to. (Blame their daughter, James.)
'I used to say to [Blake], "I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you." I would say that to my wife. And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.'
