Kate Middleton and baby bump indulged in a low-key shopping spree in the upmarket area of Chelsea in London yesterday, onlookers have revealed.
It's thought the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge visited Lots Road, known for stocking vintage and contemporary furniture and home wear, on the hunt for pieces for her new Kensington pad.
Insiders say the royal purchased a rug at one of the street's many stores, while bystanders to to Twitter to express their delight at seeing Kate Middleton wandering past.
Reports suggested Kate's purchase could be for her new London home, apartment 1A of Kensington Palace, which is currently being renovated, to be ready later this summer.
This is not the first time Kate has been spotted shopping for interior goodies.
In April, Kate Middleton was spotted browsing for antiques at Mews Antique Emporium in the market town of Holt, during a girlie weekend in Norfolk.
According to reports, pregnant Kate Middleton often visits the tiny antiques stores, as she sources furnishings for the royal nursery and two homes.
This comes after it was revealed Kate is planning a £1 million makeover of her planned nursery at the couple's London home, Kensington Palace.
It's thought an interior designer for the new 'baby suite' has already been appointed although the details of the creative in charge and the nursery's design have not been revealed.
In addition, William and Kate will also add a nursery to the sprawling Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate which they are currently renovating.
It's believed the couple plan to use the country mansion, which boasts 10 rooms, including a new garden room, swimming pool and tennis court, as a country retreat, and for family weekends away from London.
Yesterday, it was revealed Kate Middleton has been indulging in a specific spicy snack as she reaches the later stages of her pregnancy.
According to insiders, Kate loves nothing more than a Indian vegetable curry, cooked for her by friends in her hometown of Bucklebury, Berkshire.
It's thought Kate has also been enjoying lots of sweet treats, including ‘chocolate, cake and biscuits.'
