Stars go blindfold for homeless

What's brought Beth Ditto, Paul Weller and Babyshambles into the recording studio together?

SOME OF THE world’s biggest music stars clubbed together this weekend to create a new track for homeless charity, Crisis.

Beth Ditto, Paul Weller, New Young Pony Club, Supergrass and members of Babyshambles and The Smiths grouped together to create a new track with a twist – each member recorded their section blindfolded, not knowing what came before or after, with only a skeleton beat to work with.

The main vocalist, Ditto, will be the only musician to hear it all.

A follow-up gig, Consequences Live, to be held at Camden’s Roundhouse, takes place on 2 March.
