This is the month when you'll have the most sex this year

It's coming up (pun intended)

It's coming up (pun intended)

The Great British sex survey recently provided us with some very interesting insights into the sex lives of us Brits, such as the fact that less than a fifth of British women are satisfied with their sex life.

Well, in some more positive sex related news, despite the fact that so many of us women are seemingly less than satisfied with our sex lives (shout out to the best sex toys for keeping us sane), it would appear that doesn't stop us from getting down and dirty - especially in the summer months.

The Eve app analysed data of 1.27 million users and found that women are at their most sexually active during the summer months of June, July and August - with the majority reporting a 12% increase in sexual activity to be exact.

Out of all the times the 1.27 million users of the app reported their daily health into the app, they reported having sex 'with condom' or 'without condom' 41.5% of the time in the summer months, 38.8% of the time in the fall months, 36.8% of the time in the winter months and 35.8% of the time in spring.

During the summer months, most women also reported an increase in having an orgasm compared to not orgasming or faking an orgasm. There was also a rise in how many women described sex as 'mind-blowing' instead of 'pretty good' or just 'eh'.

Answering questions in a poll, users said they want sex more in the summer months because they're 'feeling tan and fab' and because they're spending a lot more time 'half naked' - further proof that sleeping naked is good for you?

The only downside of all this summer sex? Unprotected sex is at an all time high during the summer months according to the data, which many explain why so many young women test positive for STI''s including chlamydia and gonorrhea come the fall.

Remember folks, stay safe out there.
