Great choice, Charlotte...
Last year, Charlotte’s christening was held at the Church of St Mary Magdelene in front of just 21 guests, and saw her wear the same silk and lace christening gown that George wore for his baptism. We’re still gawping over Mario Testino’s stunning, intimate photos of Charlotte’s christening – especially the candid shot of the Duchess of Cambridge gazing adoringly at her baby girl.
But just look at how fast Charlotte’s growing up! During a Buckingham Palace reception for Olympic athletes earlier this week, Duchess Kate met equestrian gold medalist Natasha Baker and revealed a fascinating insight into the Princess Charlotte’s interests…
‘I asked her how are the children, and she said George really enjoyed the fencing and Charlotte really enjoyed her riding. It obviously got to her and maybe she will be here in a few years time,’ Baker explained. ‘She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it.’
Could Kate and Wills have future Olympian on their hands?
But before gorgeous little Charlotte, there was gorgeous little George…
Often pictured with his royal parents on their various tours and at various events, he’s become a media darling thanks to his utterly adorably little face and ‘cheeky monkey’ nature – Prince William’s words, not ours, and along with little sister Charlotte, recently took part in the Royal eight-day-long tour of Canada.
And before the kids arrived? A then-Kate Middleton and Wills married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. Kate wore Alexander McQueen, and the nation – as well as quite a few royal fans across the globe – watched the two tie the knot (or turned off the TV if the royals aren’t your thing).
The Duchess of Cambridge recently met with a group of Cub Scouts in Kings Lynn, as part of the celebrations for the 100 year anniversary of Cubs. Here, one scout is showing Duchess Kate how to use their neckerchief to support a broken arm.

All the royal gang – from left, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince of Wales, The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince William and Duchess Kate – were pictured together at the annual Diplomatic dinner in December 2016. Held at Buckingham Palace, the annual event is a biggy in the royal calendar and whilst Duchess Kate wore a divine red Jenny Packham gown for the occasion, she teamed the dress with Princess Diana’s favourite tiara – which first made in 1914, was gifted to the late Princess on her wedding day.

?The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of their 5th Wedding Anniversary. It really was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses send you their warmest thanks and best wishes?
Meanwhile, arguably the most adorable pictures of Prince George have been released of the evening he stayed up way past his bedtime to meet Barack and Michelle Obama wearing silk PJs and a monogrammed dressing gown. Said dressing gown has now completely sold out, naturally, proving Prince George to be a pretty powerful style icon on the kidswear scene already. Too. Much. To. Handle.

Kate Middleton and Prince William couldn’t have looked happier as they posed for their very first official pictures after the birth of their son, Prince George. Testament, perhaps, to quite how differently the royal couple have begun to do things, the intimate snaps were taken by Kate’s father Michael in the safety of their family’s back garden – not, as expected, by a celebrity photographer. It’s thought they took the decision to release their own family photos so as not to disrupt Prince George’s routine, and did so as quickly as possible, to disrupt the market for paparazzi snappers. While some criticised the hazy photographs as ‘technically poor,’ others labelled them ‘charming’. We think they’re gorgeous (2013)
And there’s the man of the moment, baby Prince George.
A few days after his birth, the young Prince George is an offical person s marked by his birth certificate – which naturally managed to grab a few headlines, too.
