The reconciliation between the two stars has reached new heights with an edible peace offering

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have publicly declared their newly brokered friendship on Instagram- with cookies!
On Tuesday, Perry sent fans into overdrive when she shared a picture to her Instagram of a plate of chocolate chip cookies with the celebratory words ‘peace at last’ written across the top in icing. The singer tagged Swift in the caption, adding ‘feels good @taylorswift’.
Swift, in response, left thirteen pink hearts under the post, seeming to firmly end the beef between the two singers.
The two megastars have had a notoriously complicated relationship in the past. Their disagreements are reported to have started over Taylor’s claim that the ‘Firework’ singer stole three of her backing dancers from her Red tour in 2012.
Their long running disagreement prompted Swift to write one of her biggest hits, ‘Bad Blood’ about an unnamed artist who she claimed ‘basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.’
But in May last year the two singers seemed to begin the process of ending their feud after Perry sent Swift an actual olive branch. The ‘Shake It Off’ singer posted a video of the wreath to her Instagram story ahead of her Reputation world tour, saying ‘this means so much to me.’
Fans have speculated that this latest outreach could be a sign that a future collaboration is on the cards. Perry said she was ‘open’ to working with Swift earlier this year, so we’ll have to wait and see if a reconciliation track emerges!
